at The Lamb & Leechwell Gardens
Book onto a free Gardening for Health
session:
Carry on gardening and volunteer
in the garden! This planned year ahead, both The Lamb & Leechwell garden
are joining forces to deliver an exciting new programme of volunteer
opportunities and workshop activities, alongside the Gardening For Health
schedule. Become a volunteer member with the Gardening Club and enjoy activities for wildlife, pond-life, herb
garden expertise, as well as general care & maintenance of the two gardens.
Volunteer days at The
Lamb garden alternate with the Monday afternoon Gardening For Health session on
a (generally) fortnightly basis, except Bank Holidays. For details of weekday and weekend

Mondays, 2-4pm @ The Lamb Garden
26 March: Creating
withy arches and planting the first crops of the season.
2 April: Sowing
seeds direct – come and join us in sowing the first seeds of the season
direct in the vegetable beds.
16 April: Caring
for our mini forest garden and preparing the vegetable nursery bed.
30 April: Planting
in conventional and some less conventional containers! Great for those with small gardens
14 May: Pricking
out (salad) and transplanting - courgettes, squash, sweet corn and lettuces.
28 May: Making
liquid feeds.
11 June: Winter
vegetables – yes, already!
25 June: Keeping the garden well looked after
9 July: Eating from the garden – a mid-season celebratory lunch.
Sessions
are subject to change according to weather and the needs
of the garden.

Tai Chi recommences in the summer: free weekly sessions at the Leechwell
Garden, led by tutor, Mark Delamere. Six sessions in June and July for anyone
to join in! Just turn up! Wednesday, June 26th starts from 4-5pm.

This year, by popular
demand, we welcome the introduction of gardening for children:
Kid's Corner starting Sunday, April 15th in association with Muddy Mums.
Sunday afternoons from 3-4.30pm by suggested donation. A weekly activity
that will then become a fortnightly held session.
