Emptying the Pool - Part 2





On Tuesday February 14th 2012, we had another session clearing the pool. Quite a bit of water had seeped in (9" or so) through various leaks in the sides and bottom, so we had to use the pump again. But the main activity was removing the mud and leaves to reveal the solid bottom of the pool. We had to do this carefully because of the possibility of finding newts.

In the event we found 5 (common) newts (see picture below of one of them), along with a number of dragonfly larvae.
